I may not agree with all Don Blackwell represent or with some of the other videos or doctrinal positions he presents on YouTube but he does present a challenge to Believers and what the scriptures really teachers regarding the things we practice and believe. In this post- modern Christian period we take lightly or do not know or care what the scriptures really teach. Don is correct, right on when it come to the history of the Church in its many forms and the politicizing, compromising and the polluting of the Gospel in the celebration and or participating of worldly holidays under the guise of being PC. We must keep in mind the scriptures were preserved and designed to reveal the will and mind of God to and for humans but particular to re-affirm the believer of his or her Faith. Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who is sometimes called Elohim, EL SHADDAI, EL, ADONAI, and JEHOVAH. Is now represented by His son Jesus Christ (Emmanuel) who cannot be truly and fully known outside of the study of Scriptures. I would be careful and cautious of those Churches who regard traditions of men superior or equal to the scriptures. A good book to start your research outside of the scripture is a book called “Traditions of Men versus the Word of God by Alvin Jennings and a series of books by Frank Vlola starting with “Pagan Christianity”. Don does an excellent job in answering the questions. Why so many Churches? I hope this brief synopsis of Church history proves helpful in understanding and selecting an authentic Christian fellowship. Keep in mind no Church is perfect many are attempting to follow the Christ of the scriptures but one thing is certain of the early Church, the Church was never governed by one qualified leader nor was leadership granted based on anyone’s bloodline. What do you think?
