I may sound crazy ,but my concerns with Ebola are things they are not saying like all the trade in Africa...when we just had the (DBIA)Doing Business in Africa that was started in 2012 .Our news is reporting a small amount about travel and spreading of Ebola, and nothing is being said about trade and( bushmeat) ,or what food products the American people are eating from Africa .From Africa we get Cocoa , cocoa butter and paste cashews, fruit ,veggies ,Bushmeat is bats ,cane rats, monkeys, eaten by many Africans ,and is smuggled in to the US all the time ,all of these could carry Ebola .They know now that the fruit bat is infested with Ebola ,And we need to look back a few years ,HIV started in Africa eating and hunting contaminated meat,,bushmeat monkeys and it spread through Africa through trade along the rivers.A report on HIV in 2011 said ,HIV occupied more than half the hospital, ,Large numbers of health care professionals lost ,17% due to Aids from 1999 and 2005. In 2012 JFK airport collected loads of bushmeat is had several diseases, but was not tested fro Ebola...I know the Aim is to increase trade in Africa, but is this the right time to be doing this ...the cocoas time for harvest is Oct.. and although the Ivory Coast has sealed its borders, whos to say whats going to happen many depend on this crop this includes Nigeria, Ghana and a lot of small farms they go into these smaller farms and collect ,then take them to warehouses and store for short holding in major towns ,where they arrange purchases and export .over 1,2 million tons..thats just cocoa ,there fruit mangoes, bananas , pineapples ,nuts ,I dont feel we know enough about how Ebola travels ,whos harvesting are they wearing gloves do the couch or sneeze ,what amount of body fluid is needed?.We have 4 hospitals set up for bio-contaminant in the US Georgia, Mont, Nebraska and Maryland. I am glad that we have one in Atlanta the Discover Sub-Saharan Africa convention is suppose to be held there in Nov.? Also not to sound ugly most of our Nigerians live in Texas ,Georgia Maryland and New York ....they need to be cautioned and about bringing bushmeat into the Us.
