I may take heat for this thread. However Im compelled to write about this issue. For once, I completely agree with Clooney. He couldnt get one person to sign his petition- if ever asked, Id sign it in a heartbeat. But Hollywood wont. This whole Sony mess- Amy Pascal and Scott Rudin were wrong.... and it was stupid joke. Does this mean their careers should end? No. But should they still head Sony? The Hollywood community needs to re-think their moral code of ethics; they demand 1st Amendment privileges ONLY when it suits their agenda. But when push comes to shove, and theyre asked to take a stand against terrorism and terrorist tactics, they crunch down in fear. They do nothing to be a proponent of free speech. Its for this very reason that I love FNC- they have no fear of telling it like it is.
