I mean, like, I get it. I listen to Eminem. I love horror movies. I consume problematic media, and I enjoy it. I still think about it being problematic, though, and when someone provides a critique of the thing Im consuming, Ill read it and think about it. I might not necessarily agree, but I try to understand. And more than likely, I might end up agreeing after thinking about it for a while despite not wanting to agree at first. This is how I learn. No one is telling me not to enjoy something. They are asking me to think about what Im enjoying. or we could all plug our ears and jerk ourselves off til we die.
