I mentioned several days ago that my son-in-law had his car stolen - TopicsExpress

I mentioned several days ago that my son-in-law had his car stolen at gunpoint behind his apartment building as he was coming home from work rather late at night. Later that night the stolen car was involved in a high speed chase that ended in a crash. The car was just released from police custody today, and indeed it appears that the car is totaled. Since the car was not insured for theft, just liability, that is required by law, my wife and I am out the $5,500 that we paid for the car. On a sad note, though, the two young men who stole the car are being charged for three homicides that happened just prior to the car-jacking. My son-in-law and my granddaughter are lucky that they were not harmed. The two men had threated to kill them both. Others, including a woman and her daughter, who were reluctant to give up their car, were not so lucky, it appears. The investigating detective told my daughter-in-law that there were two bullets left in the recovered gun.
