I met an amazing lady today- a women who has three sons- they have NOTHING-they lived in a hotel for 4 years because they did not have the income qualification for an apartment- she said at times she did not have the money for the weekly payment at the hotel and would sleep outside-Marie told me that she finally was able to meet the income requirement to get an apartment and moved in last Friday- they have been sleeping on the floor because they lost everything they had in storage due to not being able to pay for the storage a couple years back. She works every day and is trying to get on her feet again. She invited me in her apartment and I saw with my own eyes that they have nothing! A lady dropped off a kitchen table while I was there ,my friend Jenns husband dropped off a microwave, and I dropped off a mattress donated by someone else, I bought dishes, sheets, towels,glasses, and silverware. She is still in need of two single beds, a bed frame for the queen mattress, dresses, a tv, a vacuum, and other regular household items that we all take for granted. If you can help this nice lady I would be more than happy to pick up the stuff and bring it to her! She is so grateful and cannot believe that people that she does not know are helping her like this! Do something good for someone who has nothing and can only repay you with a thank u- its the best feeling in the world!
