I met my wife in 1986 a few weeks before christmas at a employee christmas party at the princeville hotel.my wife came up and asked me to dance and a year later my daughter was born,thats the short version actually it was a little more complicated than that but Im sticking with the short version.my wife and i are from different countries and cultures and in some ways are polar opposites.i love music and she can take it or leave it but mostly leave it.she likes to watch true life medical and crime shows,i dont, i prefer some 1/2 hour comedy that requires very little attention because i like to do a lot of other things while watching TV like the post Im writing right now as i watch the portland vs houston NBA game.my wife was raised by a single mother who taught elementary school while raising 9 kids.most of those kids are collage graduates who are mostly teachers but also boasts an engineer and a doctor,you see my wife went to medical school and graduated.i was raised with one sister and a stay at home mom and a hard working dad,none of us graduated from collage but none of us are derelicts.I believe that both me and my wifes moral compass points in the same direction and we agree on politics.my wife was a relentless mom who would have taken a bullet to protect our kids.the most important thing that we share is that we produced three amazing kids and i think after what weve been thru in the last 23 months that is the glue that holds us together thru good times and bad.
