I met this woman yesterday on my way to church and i gave her a lift to Dansoman when i saw that she was clearly struggling with her load. On our way to Dansoman this woman started asking questions. In fact she asked questions till i began to get irritated. Then she asked are you Akan or a Northerner? I responded I am Akan and she asked Akan from where? I said Asante Mampong. Then she asked Oh are u related to the Dwomohs who live at Gbawe? I said no! Then she asked so what is your name? I said Boate! Then she said Boate doesnt sound like a Mampong name. Then i said well my family name is Amaniampong but i am Boate. Then she said yes the Amaniampongs are from Mampong. I lived in Gambia for sometime and met this Pentecost Pastor called Osei Amaniampong. The man is sooo kind hearted Then i sat straight and listened to this woman. She recounted how this Pentecost Missionary called Amaniampong had been good to she and her Auntie (a Sierra Leonean) way back in the Gambia. Then me with excitement I said THATS MY FATHER Come see this woman praising and thanking God in the car. Then she said your father is a good man. Come see the smiles on my face. Moral Live this life knowing very well that you dont live for yourself but you live for the generations yet unborn. Live to leave a legacy for your childrens children. Treat all people who come in contact with you very well. You never know, you never know... Again i salute all positive fathers making all the effort to leave a good name for their childrens children.
