I met with the Staff at IU yesterday, concerning the High-Dose - TopicsExpress

I met with the Staff at IU yesterday, concerning the High-Dose Chemo and Stem Cell Therapy. I will have a Pulmonary Function Test on Friday, to see if the Bleomycin damaged my Lungs in the past 3 Weeks, and I suspect that this Test will bode well. I will be able to administer the Neupogen Injections myself, which will save me quite a Bit of Money in Fuel and Co-Payments. These Injections will boost my Bone Marrow, so that my Stem Cells can easily be harvested. I will be admitted to IU on the Day before Thanksgiving, and the High-Dose Chemo will begin immediately. Thus, for Thanksgiving, I know that I will receive Triple Helpings of Etoposide and Carboplatin, with Decadron and Ativan for Side Dishes, in addition to Turkey. Very likely, I will need Blood Transfusions and IV Antibiotics during this Adventure, since my Marrow will be destroyed. Some of my Family may plan on visiting me. Please be aware that at first I will only be able to have 1 Visitor at at Time, to reduce any Risks of Infection. Remo Williams.
