I might lose some Facebook friends over this, but thats OK and NO, I am NOT asking people to sign or not sign this petition. Truth is, just because the fact that these are traditional companion pet animals many will sign, but I am sick of hearing moral schizophrenic vegetarians cry Oh the poor doggies their skinned alive and eaten. Yes, I see this as Hypocrisy and Speciesism; as with the non-vegans like Ricky Gervais --I had no idea dogs were being skinned alive for their meat. Did you?-- Does Mr. Gervais not know what becomes of male calves born into the Dairy Industry because of his love affair with cheese and what about the harm done to other animals on his holiday meat benches, why do dogs have a higher value for life? And what about the Non-vegan Judi Dench and her love affair with horseracing; it is ok to exploit animals just dont skin alive poor puppy dogs? I am not talking about a celebrity plant-base-diet, but If you are not vegan you are participating in animal exploitation, cruelty and slaughter, Period!
