I miss the days of the Wild West Internet when it was a closed community for people that had the technical know-how to participate. I miss the days when those of us online were tech geeks, trading fake photos of Gillian Anderson and arguing about the newest DnD ruleset, or some other shit no one else cared about. When TCP/IP was some arcane term that you could pick out of conversation from across the room and find a new friend. Basically, I miss the Internet before it became too cool for those of us that loved it first. I loved the Internet before it was popular. I dug the Internet before it was cool. This makes me one of the things I revile in this world: a God damned hipster.
