I miss these guys part #2576982 I have posted this before and Im going to post it again. This is the last song Powderfinger ever played together as a band. The band is in tears as is the audience. The party atmosphere is on hold for this song because everyone knows that this is it. There is not going to be any new music, no bottom of the barrel rarity CD or anthology type album. This band would not sell trash to us. If they had something to say, they said it and in reality said more about the social political situation in Australia than Midnight Oil. I have seen the Stones, PJ, Pink Floyd and countless other supergroups, rock bands, punk bands or.... whoever. And while they were (mostly) great nights and I have many great memories and laughs they cant match watching and growing up with Powderfinger. Seeing them for the first time as a small pub band on one of their first regional Aussie tours in the mid 90s to seeing what they became on their final tour. Standing on a field on a crystal clear night and watching them say goodbye to us, was so intense.
