I miss working on my Build Along!! So I went scrounging around in our clearance Area and brought up the last, lonely Bistro Challenge kit. Hmmm...looks like an adobe type structure to me. Then I got the bright idea that wrought iron gates in the door openings would look neat. I found a tutorial on Pinterest and away I went. This tutorial uses stripwood and paper towel or toilet paper tubes. After forming the design and spot gluing it in the frame I made, I spray painted it with a bronze hammered texture paint to give it sort of a rusty look. I think I like it... and I think Ill continue with this project and have Jen, the newest RGT wiring wizard, help me wire it. Truly, Jen did an AMAZING job wiring and finishing her Collectibles Cabinet. It is just beautiful. What do you think of this gate and this process? Has anyone tried this Faux Wrought Iron before?
