I must admit that for all of my life, I have never participated in this action taken by hundreds of thousands in each city across America, I know many fine people who do participate and find it to be one of these, An exhilarating activity ( perhaps the most exercise in months) A way to make new friends, An absolute way to loose friends, A subtle way to punch someone in the face, A possible way to get injured over a toy or some other object not worth the cost of an Emergency Room Visit, An absolute way to catch germs that could put you in bed for the rest of the month, and the let down of hearing NO!!! This is NOT! the one I wanted ........For me watching this unfold on TV News is as exhilarating as an action packed game of Foot Ball, or watching Boxing or wrestling , the anxiety grows by the moment.....So rather then get my self up in a no win argument or push and shove contest the best solution is shop on line, in my PJs fluffy slippers, drinking my hot chocolate and listening to my music, the car is safely parked in the driveway, my purse in clear view and my Blood Pressure intact, my antibodies preparing for the real bad stuff down the road. My contribution to this Holyday Season is immeasurable by providing work for the USPO, FedEx, & UPS . No pollution contribution, no waste of Gas, no possibility of an accident thereby raising my Insurance premiums, no chance of killing or maiming or of it happening to me or some poor creature on the road or, in strange parking lots where some (not all) people forget that it is not 70mph but 10mph and have no Idea what speed bumps are for and that they do not!! get extra points once inside the store for taking out anyone over the age of 60. I will wish any and all a safe hunt and know some of us are actually praying for you to make it back to your family safe and sound.
