I must confess. It has been a long time, a very long time. When we parted ways, I never thought wed see each other again. Wed grown apart, as they say. I wanted more from life and so had moved on. It seemed the right thing to do. And then last week, our eyes met. Of all the places, Bali was not where I was expecting this to happen. Casually, at first. I think we both tried to ignore the others presence. I even tried photography to distract me, yet I was drawn in an inexplicable manner. The husband was asleep in the room. It was a lazy afternoon. I did not intend going the mile. Just a hello, perhaps. Temptation is a seductress, after all. So I walked across to where he stood, and looked him in the eye. I think he knew. So did I when I chose what I did. The others didnt matter. They were in languages I knew not. Yes, I read a Mills and Boon after almost 20 years. Skipped through most pages, yet again.
