I must confess that one reason I pray at length is that I first must move beyond my own flesh. The tip of the iceberg so to speak, is simply subduing my wants and aligning my heart with Gods will for me. The majority of what the Spirit longs for me to pray is below the surface of self indulgence and in the depths where flesh has no hold. Yes there is satisfaction in the quiet moments of anticipation where a flood of fresh comfort washes over my impatience and reminds me of the reason I meet with Him...it is the relationship where He is worshipped and adored and I succumb to His presence. Never do I wish to leave once I have found this pleasure of knowing Him.
