I must have piqued some interest because Im getting a ton of private messages asking me about my previous post on the list. So, let me elaborate.... Ive looked through thousands of pictures of selfies, kids, husbands, pets, landscaping, gardens, friends, grandkids, parties, weddings, vacations, bugs/spiders, injuries, homes, fashion, new cars, your meals, your drinks, sports ~ you name it ~ its been posted on FB. And because were friends, I enjoy them. I love them. I get to know you better. It gives me a glimpse into your life and your personality. If you post something that I find annoying or distasteful, guess what? I can scroll right on by. It doesnt bother me, because I know the next pic will be terrific. I think Ive only deleted one or two people because of their vulgar posts or language. Other than that, this is the real world were living in. Were not perfect. Better get used to it. Ive heard rants about husbands, kids, coworkers, neighbors, friends, ex-boyfriends, salespeople, telemarketers, religion, politics, etc. And you know what? Ive ranted, too. FB can be a good place to vent, because the feedback you get is both funny and understanding. So let it rip! Ive prayed , sent condolences, felt compassion, your heartache and pain and wished there was more I could say or do when one of my FB friends posts about an illness or tragedy. And yes...for many of us, we dont know each other all that well. But still, youre in my prayers. Thats one of the most wonderful things about Facebook. You will have no end to the kindness of people, some you hardly know. Ive celebrated from afar your successes, your childrens successes, your accomplishments. Ive been overjoyed with the births of your babies and grandbabies. And wished thousands of Happy Birthdays. Ive seen your posts for selling makeup, jewelry, purses, candles, homes, used cars and furniture, books, clothing, household goods, and yes, fitness products. What??? You mean people use FB to promote their businesses?? GASP! ;) News flash! Its social media. Ive gotten some great deals and met some great people because they posted about something I wanted to buy. I am GRATEFUL that we have this open forum! Its amazingly helpful. Ive bitten my tongue and turned the other cheek often. Im sure most of you have, too. This is life. So, here it is: Im a Christian work-in-progress. I have a family ~ a husband ~ children ~ grandchildren ~ friends. I have a love of food and fitness and health and shoes and cute clothes and dance and a night out with a couple of cocktails ~ and a business. I post about them all. Some with pictures even. ;) I try to inspire people to be healthy and fit, to be positive, to be unashamedly themselves, even as I sometimes struggle to be all those things myself. My life isnt perfect, but I know I have been blessed in many things and I dont take that lightly and I hope, not arrogantly. So Im sorry if any of this bothers you, but Im not going to stop doing what I do or being who I am. If you dont like me, thats okay. Im not trying to be popular. Im just trying to be a good person.
