I must have typed a hundred statuss today. And then just deleted them all as I still cant seem to put down exactly how I feel. About this time exactly 3 years ago I was scrambling to my car & racing up to Leeds frantically trying to find the hospital. The news I never expected to hear was that youd taken a turn for the worse & that family & friends needed to get there ASAP. I didnt even have it in me to go in & see you mate. I didnt want my last thoughts to be of you laid there. Im not sure I regret that decision 3 years down the line but I dont regret just bring there. I kinda kept myself out if the way because your immediate family were having to deal with this devastating news that even I struggle to believe happened to this day. I really dont know how they have coped so well. Tomorrow at Storthes will once again prove to be one of the most difficult gigs of my life but naturally would not want be anywhere else in the world. Not a day goes by that me or my family dont think or talk about you. Such a genuinely amazing young man that Im proud to call my friend. Im sure you conspire to throw all these gigs & events at me this time of year to keep me busy & stop me becoming some emotional wreck. Lol. So many good memories. The inflatable corona bottle. Bank street hotel that was so small it had an in suite Jews (Michael McIntyre). London with Michael buble blasting out of your car stereo as we drive thru the ghetto...
