I must say, Andrews teacher was VERY impressive today. This lady is always several steps ahead of the kids in her class. Nothing gets by her and she has a very easy way of teaching the subjects to kids without them realizing they are learning very complicated concepts. For example: Today she played tick tack toe on a graph with the kids asking them to choose ordered pairs (as in algebraic number lines). They did not even realize they were performing an 11th grade task. Although she is harsh, I do agree with her philosophy about helping kids become independent as quickly as possible. As she said, the longer we hold their hands, the less favors we do for them. Im hoping for success and that Andrew benefits from her completely organized and thorough daily regimen. She certainly takes education seriously and pulls no punches when it comes to the truth about the world. As rough as she can be, she seems to be equally successful at motivating good ethics and scholarly behavior in a very endearing way. If he can make it through her class, hes set for life. lololol.
