I must say I love scrolling through my news feed and seeing all the different labradoodles and their fury faces. But I do not like people asking if their labradoodle will shed or what their mentality will be like. This should be something you researched before hand. A labradoodle is not a purebred. You cannot expect to have them a certain way. Each doodle is going to have a different personality, traits and such. Some will shed some wont. The only way that you could attempt to determine how to they will be like is to find out the bloodline. My reason for getting a labradoodle is that i grew up with labs and i love their characteristics. But i also was a fan of that scruffy looking dog, like the little norfolk terries. I researched many breeds, even looked into rescuing. I just feel in love with the breed, so i began looking into the different types (f1,f1b,f3) and looking for breeders. I did not feel comfortable shipping a 9week old puppy. Thats just cruel and very tramatic in my opinion. I was lucky enough to find a good breeder only a few hours from where i lived. I was able to meet the parents and even the grandparents. I couldnt be more happy with my decision of getting an F1b labradoodled. He is my best friend, savior , and also my service dog. He sheds a little, but ive been lucky. He doesnt get knotted and doesnt need to be brushed constantly. I groom him myself and i do a not to shabby job,lol . Here is a pic of Ruger my labradoodle who just turned 3 on the 22 of this month. I hope i didnt break any page rules with my post.
