I must say Im surprised and incredibly disappointed by a lot of the remarks Im seeing today in regards to the situation in Martin Place. The customary dissemination of profoundly misdescribed information by the media seems to have driven half of my friends list into this belligerent, racist mob of thuggish goons spitting forth ugly, ignorant and mostly incoherent opinions about an entire religion based on the acts of a single man with at least one of you today actually exhorting to violence against Muslims. While I appreciate to some small degree that most of it is reactionary, its still completely unacceptable and downright shameful. Racially chauvinistic, bigoted and discriminatory statuses will be met with a swift delete from now on, I dont care how good of friends we are.
