I must say Ndi Igbo have come of age politically. We used to - TopicsExpress

I must say Ndi Igbo have come of age politically. We used to be scattered and disunited in our aspirations and positions on national issues, and the born-to-rule people have always used this to their advantage. Dividing and conquering Igbo votes with ease. Its no longer the same presently. We now identify with those who mean us no harm. People keep wondering why Igbos are supporting president Goodluck Jonathan despite evidence that he is not doing for us as much as he is doing for the Awusa and Yoruba people who despise him. Its quite very simple. Igbos are not beggars, we dont depend on government patronage to survive. Igbos are legitimately industrious and self sustaining. Our overriding need in this country, is a level playing ground for all ethnic nationalities to compete and coexist. So far, since the creation of this country, GEJ appears to be the only one who has provided this level playing ground for the Igbo man. Never again are Igbo business men and women being witch-hunted and deliberately put out of business by obnoxious govt policies and sometimes outright treachery and pettiness as massively seen under Obasanjos administration. It is on record that the pettiness of OBJ nearly killed the Ibeto group, the Slok group, Innoson motors, to mention a very few, no gain saying that these aforementioned businesses are alive and thriving under this administration. These are major employers of labour nation wide mostly Igbos. Under Jonathan, gone are the days when peoples legitimately imported goods are seized and auctioned simply because they belong to an Igbo man who is not a supporter of govt. Under Jonathan, political posts and appointments hitherto considered above Igbo station have been held or are being held by one Igbo man or woman. In the areas of infrastructural development, not much has changed but there are signs that changes are underway. It is not out of context to posit that GEJ will definitely win more than 90% of Igbo votes nation wide. And the strategic concentrations of Ndi Igbo nation wide is very vital in 2015. Really, comparing the two top contenders for the job, is a no brained for an Igbo man save for those self-hating ones who in an attempt to appease others and appear detribalised, will go contrary to this. Buhari will be totally rejected in Igbo land and indeed most of the southern and North Central regions of this country for obvious reasons that he has on numerous occasions orchestrated the massacre of their kits and kin through his deliberate careless and inciting talks and encouragement of the activities of terrorists. The hype of his alleged anti-corruption stand, has since been deduced for what it was. A pure case of ethnic and religious bigotry. I still search till tomorrow(albeit without success) to find one northern Muslims imprisoned by Buharis obnoxious decrees? I know that most corrupt men in the country today are northerners and Muslims too. So why was no northern Muslim among the people he threw into prisons on trumped up corruption charges?.........
