I must say a couple of things here,, First this was 1969 when this country had a different, and in my book a far better visualization of what America should and could be,, That was ultimately replaced over the last 3 1/2 decades with a much uglier vision driven by much uglier motives.. As far as the prayer thing goes that is easy. Remove under God and return the Pledge of Allegiance to its form before 1956, as it was when Red Skelton grew up reciting it .. It will no longer be a prayer and at that point would be an undeniable and unarguable pledge to our Nation and its Flag as it was INTENDED.. just my humble opinion..
