I must say that I am always amazed at the responses any mentioning of the Coloured people unleashes from Coloureds, Khoisan or whatever your preferred tag in our community is themselves. This what I call, sometimes negative intelligence seeks to smother any constructive dialogue from developing amongst us about issues affecting us as a group in particular. When I say Coloureds it does not mean I agree with the term. But currently everybody understand to what group of South Africans Im referring. Some of the bullets some shoot back at anyone who dare to touch this apparently forbidden topic are wellworn out arguments that sometimes has nothing to do with the point under discussion. Whatever you call yourself cannot alter some of the issues facing our community. We have to reach consensus and present that to the government and demand the scrapping of that block on all official documentation or that they add whatever our national consensus will agree to on all official documentation. We need to Codesa. And no amount of screaming and even fits can change that.
