I must say that everything happens for a reason, and if something doesnt make sense today, eventually...it will. Special shout out to all my former dance professors at U of I and everyone who pushed the s**t outta me while I was there. Never thought Id say this, but Im at the point now where I look back at my journey thus far, and realize that my time as a dance major is THEE most important dance experience of my life, and boy was it a ROLLER COASTER for me! I was pushed in ways that remain unmatched to this day, and will probably never be duplicated. It was a one of a kind experience where I realized how HUGE the dance spectrum is. I leapt so far out of my comfort zone that it was no longer in sight--AT ALL. It was in those moments where I discovered a new me. I found a fresh voice, and Ive been cultivating it ever since. Without that experience, I would not be creating the kind of work that I am so proud of today.
