I must state that Speaker Anna Burke upset me today. Wayne Swan was answering a question and referred to the Liberals opposing ALP reforms on refugees. Christopher Pyne, the MP who stuck his tongue out at Anna Burke in the Chamber a few months ago and who has previously lied about the Howard Govt Investing In Our Schools Program objected. He said that refugees had drowned and thus Swan implied that they were supportive of such deaths so she asked wayne to withdraw and he did,. But hold on!! ! Pyne and others have directly blamed Labor for those same deaths. AND blamed Labor over deaths re insulation. And when Downer was not stuffing up Cyprus he often effectively called ALP persons, even members not just MPs, traitors to Australia.
