I must stress that myth 3 is NOT a myth in my eyes. There should be a level of pain in regards to what your goal is. Yes if you want to maintain your physique or improve it gradually then working to a slight discomfort is perfect alongside a good diet. - Have big goals? Then it is NO PAIN NO GAIN all the way because rest assured if you put in 110% effort into your training, and I mean sweat, grunt, bleed, feel pain that would cause others to shed tears you WILL succeed. Yes this requires sufficient diet too... - Please note that it is not wise or safe to go all in and feel levels of pain that put you off training when you first begin training, small steps, literally small steps and the bigger steps will come. It takes time to create a body that can withstand the punishment the pros put their bodies through, they are conditioned and recover 3 or 4 times quicker and know what they are doing. - I love designing programmes whether it be for gradual increase of fitness or going all in beast mode for competition.
