I need a bit of help with a personal dilema,so I am putting it out there for my friends to comment on,I have about 95% made up my mind and just need a little additional input. I was an infantry solder during the bush war and saw a little bit of the nasty stuff that happens in a war .so for this and nearly 30 years later I at last got my reward for fighting in this war. Two medals.They are the PROPATRIA medal and the SOUTHERN AFRICA medal. However this war never realy ended it just changed focus and speed and knowingly or unknowingly for us part of this war is the genocide of the Boer (white tribe ).I was proud of these medals and have worn them several times at ANZAC day marches. However we march under the flag of the current idiot regime in control of South Africa and I cannot and will not march under that flag ever again just as I cannot stand for or sing half of the current national anthem. So instead of just storing these medals I think of donating them to a marvelous friend in South Africa,who can then sell them to a collector and use the money in support of the charity he runs to help the white squatters. Your positive thoughts and input will be greatly appreciated.
