I need a dog behaviorist but I am broke. Does anyone have any ideas? Rocky came from HSMO. I am going to call and see if they have any behaviorists available for alumni. Any other ideas for cheap behavioral trainers in St, Louis? He does not have typical problems. He is very docile and gentle. Walks well on leash (except for lagging behind and not pooping or peeing much in public). His problems are that I still have to drag him outside (literally) and that since around September, he insists on going outside to poop and pee between 1 and 5 am every day. These hours are the only time I do not have to drag him. Those times, I am hating to get up at all. If I do not take him out, though, he paws me and paces and eventually pees/poos in house. But he never does that in the daytime. I am beside myself. I need sleep. If I do not take him out, he also chews everything in sight--- anything he can reach. But not during the daytime. Can anyone in St. Louis suggest a cheap behaviorist/trainer who is good?
