I need a dummies guide for props. I know it is a deep topic, but hope to scratch the surface. 2 blade vs. 3 blade, what the difference (apart from the obvious), and when would you use one over the other? Is it a case of better or just different? Also, how about blade pitch angle? How do you know what is best for a given airframe and engine combination? Do different props come with different pitch angles, and if so, how do you know which to choose? Also, how about wood vs. composite? Which would you choose and why? Last, if you were building a Hawk 2 seat and mounting a Hirth 3502 on it, which prop would you choose and why? This is assuming that you want to keep the RPMs as was possible, in the hopes of reducing vibration, flight noise, fuel consumption, engine wear, etc. What would be the likely usable range of a Hawk 2 seat pushed by a Hirth 3502? I know props are critical, and getting the right one is even more critical. My apology for so many questions, but he who does not know can only ask..... :-)
