I need advice BADLY.. This is long but bear with me. The other day I took both my pits, one is 9 months and the other is 7 years old, to the dog park like I do all the time. They love it and are so good with the other dogs. but this time a guy brought his 3 yr old pit and without warning his dog took off full speed at the 9 month old and just chopped down on my Babies face right over his eye and then on his snout. The 7 year old immediately jumped in, shes extremely protective of Bruce and It took us about 2 minutes to get them all apart which seemed like forever. Long story short, the other pit is alive amazingly, we gave his owner our number before we left the emergency vet so he could let us know what was going on but the dog has extremely extremely hefty vet bills already and his owner called my bf today demanding we pay for every cent of his care and that our dogs be put down or else he will take legal action. We have several other people who saw his dog attack mine for no logical reason. Should we go ahead and get a lawyer? I dont think my dogs deserve to be put down over this, do yall? I dont know what to do Im freakin out. Btw yes my dogs are fine, Bruces face is healing well you can barely tell he was attacked now.
