I need help. My book in progress is currently (working) titled *Owning the Space You Inhabit: Reclaiming the Intimate Territories of Your Body, Voice, and Imagination.* It has been brought to my attention that the concept of ownership may alienate some feminists. Especially feminists who are indigenous activists. And especially especially feminists who are indigenous activists who are involved in land struggles. And also feminists who are part of nomadic cultures. It makes sense; ownership, through a certain lens, is a problematic part of the patriarchal structure, and thereby is anathema to an inclusive feminism. Another part of it is that some indigenous critics of white feminism point out that white feminism puts self so much at the center, so much so that the white feminist movement can end up denying the value of community. As a white feminist trying to bridge the gulf that white feminism has created (again and again), I need to take these vantages into account. It will shift the center of this book a little bit. It stretches my brain - in a good way - to think that far outside of the box I am in. AND, I need an alternate, similarly strong title. Thoughts? Also, if you want to be a test reader let me know! The more the merrier. Thank you all for your help in working this stuff out. I couldnt do it without the combined mind-power of the Whole.
