I need to get this off my mind, as its been eating at me for MONTHS now.... You know how the experts are telling us to not microwave anything in plastic containers?? Apparently, toxins get released from the plastic in microwaves. Well, I have to confess that I heated my dogs food in plastic bowls all their lives. I always pre-soak my kibble (and store it in the fridge) to cut down on bloat risk, so I heat it. Now, I know this is ridiculous and really just hindsight, but Ive wondered more than once if it wasnt heating their food that way that may have contributed to cancer. Im not convinced that both Brutus and Dottie had it as well, just not as obvious as Daphne did (meaning more internal than exposed as tumors). I will say I now heat all the food in non-plastic dishes and serve it in stainless steel ones. Am I just being overly paranoid? All I know is that I dont want to do anything that may cause this disease to rear its ugly head again.
