I need to vent...maybe you guys would know what to do in my situation. But mainly I am posting to warn you guys to check feedback before ordering anything online! For Christmas a good friend of mind ordered me a beautiful nativity set with eleven porcelain figures and a creche. This set was kind of expensive as well. She paid extra money to send it overnight so I could have it before Christmas...it came December 29th, 4 days after Christmas. And even though the box said there were 11 figures (wise men, animals, the whole nine yards) there were none in the box. It was creche only. I told my friend what happened and she contacted the company...they told her theyd send me an 11 piece porcelain set separately right away and they were sorry for the mixup. So when UPS came today with the box, I was happy to see who it was from...but when I picked the box up it weighed next to nothing. I opened it to find...a very tiny miniature nativity set with three figures. Its cute but again, this is not what she ordered or paid for!!! (The Jesus figure is about the size of my thumbnail.) She ordered the set of eleven figures...the company was aware of the darn order number because she had screen shots of the item she ordered so there is no sense in this type of incompetence whatsoever. At this point I a thinking of having her have them send me a return label so I can send both of their items back and she can just get her money back, including for the overnight shipping she paid for and did not receive. I dont want to sound ungrateful but I feel bad that she spent a lot of money on this and the company not only screwed it up once but twice, and I nearly know they will likely screw it up a third time. The kicker is they are an Amazon seller, but any and all negative feedback is stricken from their record. But if you check their feedback they have a lot of problems like this. Im surprised Amazon stands by this seller after this. Should she try again from another company or what? Because at this point I want to just return them both so she can have her money back and maybe I can just find a nice nativity set next year prior to Christmas. I have never had so much difficulty before. :( I do hope she gives them extremely negative feedback on Amazon...but it wont matter because theyll just strike it from the record. Its frustrating when you have someone do something wonderful for you then the company screws up royally in many ways.
