I never believed that in my lifetime I would encounter a whole new generation who would wish the tiny State of Israel (the size of the Kruger National Park,) into a state of non-existence. I have confronted Anti-Semitism since I was a child, but what I have encountered recently is more virulent than anything that I have had to face in all of my 49 years. To my precious friends and family in Israel who are spending most of their days under the stairs and in the bunkers, my heart goes out to you because most of the world does not give a damn- the photos of the non-stop rockets falling will be patently ignored and the injuries and deaths will be discounted. Although there are so many Arab states, very few people can find it within themselves to acknowledge that the Jews deserve their one tiny enclave in the world. A minority will acknowledge the restraint and ethics of the Israeli army and draw attention to the brutality of the Arab regimes. The majority of the world seems to still want the Jews to remain their scapegoat . Israeli friends and family,stay safe and know that you have the right to self-defence. I pray for a speedy resolution to this crisis and for all bloodshed and trauma to cease. The death of innocents is sickening and it is a pity that Hamas sees nothing wrong with using civilians as shields for their war-machinery. G-d is your shield Israel...and He neither slumbers nor sleeps. Am Israel Chai forever!
