I never cease to be amazed at how much upset you can stir up when you tell people you walk by faith and are not walking by the law of works. So many have been taught they will get to heaven if they are good. The truth is only God is good. We sin daily, even when we are not aware of it. That is why Jesus died, to redeem a fallen world. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, according to scripture. We walk close to the Lord, and trust in the blood of Jesus to make up the difference for our failures and faults. Living by law is death. Walking by faith in the grace of God is life, and the only source of power there is to stand against sin. Only one human being was ever good. His name is Jesus, and he was crucified for his goodness by folks who were trying to earn their way to heaven by their legalistic works. When I stand before the Lord, I plan to plead the blood of Christ over my sins. What is your plea? How do you plan to justify your own short falling and sins outside of the blood of Christ? There is no other source of salvation on earth. Only God is good.
