I never celebrated Christmas with my kids on Dec. 25, but they were Christmases just the same to us. I remember one Christmas morning when both kids jumped in bed with me before dawn, rarin to go after Id had a few hours sleep getting things ready for Santa. I told them we couldnt go out in the front room yet cause things might not be ready. I think I conned them into listening for sleigh bells, anything to get me and them (hah!) a little more shuteye. Then I heard a train horn downtown. I said, Thats it, kids, its the Polar Express! and we charged out into the front room. Christmas is more than a date on the calendar and you should look for it wherever and whenever you can, even in rough times.
