I never liked the term African-American. It makes us sound like - TopicsExpress

I never liked the term African-American. It makes us sound like immigrants, like Italian-Americans and Irish-Americans. Its too soft. It avoids the racial experiment of the Atlantic moment and all that it implies. Im Black. I say Im Black. And white people need to say the word Black because its a strong word and they hate saying it. Light-skinned mixed folks (like me) need to stop with the Irish/Scottish/German and a littte French because its just as silly as when darker-skinned folk carry on with the laundry list of Indian/Cherokee/Greek/Chinese and a little French! White comes in all different colors (blonde, redhead, brunette, etc) and so does Black, from midnight blue to albino. Were all Black. Sadakne Baroudi
