I never met Sharon....yet have felt connected to her the moment I met Brian. Her legacy is that she brought us all together. Her legacy is that it brought out a passion in Brian to make OutRUN happen. Her legacy lives on through us, her OutRunners. Our legacy is that we are all connected now. Our legacy is that we have all come together for the greater good of the world....for the greater good of the CF world...for the greater good of anyone outRunning their odds in life. I thought a lot about Sharon today. I know the feeling of drowning in your mucus. I know the feeling of not being able to breath. I know what its like to be scared of this disease. And I know the feeling of being loved. And man, Sharon is loved so much that we are still talking about her, running for her and honoring her. She must have been something incredibly special. Thank you Brian Thomas for sharing her story with us. Just another reminder to live life to the fullest today. And to just be grateful. We are so lucky to have her inspire us to be full of life today. Much love to Brian and his family. Without Sharon, I would never have this bond with Brian and Nicole. What a trio we are....because of her I got this moment (and so many more) with Brian and Nicole of feeling like I can conquer this life with CF and feel supported to cross every finish line in life ahead. Love, Liz #livelaughlove
