I never read this in a textbook or anything but I think there is a universal principal that goes something like for every day of camping with children you will require 1.5 days of scrambling and packing and forgetting then remembering things, 2 days of unpacking and cleanup, and throughout each of these days plan on being distracted 1,998 times by the same children you took camping. Im really beginning to appreciate the value of a cottage. Or a camp. Or a camper. A semi-permanent yurt..... Happy Fourth of July, all!
