I never really post statuses but I would just like to express my disgust at the incompetence of the Australian and especially the American media - American media practically runs the world, and currently occurring, devastating floods in Serbia and Bosnia that deserve coverage are being overshadowed by trivial matters, such as two celebrities that had a fight in an elevator?!?! People have died, they are left without homes, and others also left without any food or money..most of them have lost almost everything theyve worked for their whole lives and they need all the help they can get - but how can people help if they dont even know it is occurring? Thank you to channel 9 who have actually bothered to broadcast this on national television. The majority of the people in Australia and even people in America, have European backgrounds and we are forced to wait days so that our families over there who are in the middle of a crisis, can find the time to give us a phone call.. where in most cases they dont even have phone reception. Even though these countries might be small and insignificant, as humans we have a duty to help others based off a notion of common decency and morality. If this was to occur anywhere else in the world, im sure it would have been breaking news. America you are always so quick to bomb other countries.. maybe its time you began to turn things around and actually provide assistance and help for those that are in need. #prayforserbia #prayforbosnia
