I never went ice fishing in Conn. The ice was always to thin. I come to Maine 27 years ago and a friend ask me to go so i said ok. Were driving down the road and he drives strait off the road and across the lake. I thought i was going to die lol. then i seen giant campers parked on the ice and felt a little better. There was ice shacks everywhere, one was even a radio station broadcasting from the ice, there was snowmobiles drag racing, cross country skiers, Ice sail boats, and stock car ice racers with cleats on the tires. Then i see a plane with skies on it so i wave. The plane lands right next to me so they can wave back and take off again. It was like a winter wonderland, and my first taste of ice fishing in Maine.
