I normally post about my Pastors sermon in the morning for those who follow it but I had a migraine so I apologize. Better late than not at all! Today was about being a fisher of men basically how to witness to others by hooking them to the word but not popping the line by being all preachy. He spoke about how to talk with our children, partners, friends and other in out lives. They way witnessing will vary and not becoming over beating to the point we can no longer be of an impact in their lives. He used the analogy of a (Jesus) a boat Captain assisting a fisherman (You) with reeling in a BIG catch like a Marlin. Once the hook is lodged in the cheek of a 600 lb fish it will take off and pop the line if you try to pull back when the fish is fighting with full force. Instead your boat captain should be backing up to the fish as you leave slack on the reel while it burns itself out then reel it in slowly while the boat captain works him back up. According to my Pastor this is a lengthy process of patience something which I dont posses much of so my fish would get away and Im rather bribe yall to church!
