I notice something being a substitute teacher, more than 1/2 the kids dont care about school and use it as social time while just under 1/4 actually care about their future and the other 1/4 or so are there to just slide by because they are supposed to graduate. It makes me both sad and angry that its not important to them. It also makes me worried that MY kids may eventually end up like the majority if they begin hanging out with the wrong kids. Even though I consider myself a diligent and involved parent there is always that 1% chance peer pressure will affect them. Do you worry about these things?
