I noticed a Facebook post recently that complained that the Northern Mariana Islands was not listed on an online company’s dropdown mailing menu. Another poster commented that the congressional office should do something about this. The truth is that your congressional office has helped many constituents who have come to us with a complaint about a company that does not list the Northern Mariana Islands on a menu of U.S. states and territories. Of course, sometimes we are not successful, because a congressional office cannot order a private business to do anything it does not want to do. But we can help people who are willing to make the effort to contact us directly, sign a privacy consent form, and identify the company they have a problem with.
