I noticed on my way up through Kings X last night, one of my favourite venues of all time has closed its doors. The Water Rats was a long running Soul night I was very proud to run with my old mate Dave Edwards, a theatre and cracking live music venue. In an earlier life it was known as The Pindar of Wakefield, scene of many residencies by the Prisoners, Screaming Blue Messiahs,Sid Presley etc etc and where they filmed the classic Four on Four, Trash on the Tube.your be glad to know you can now buy furniture there. Its not just Soho losing its musical heritage, its the whole of London and its been happening for decades.
