I noticed that Spotify is touting how they are a service that pays artists. Theyre paying as close to nothing as they can. I know the issue is Spotify vs Free but if anyone thinks these payment issues with Spotify or any of those services will help any artist is ridiculous. The best thing to do is let them choke on major labels back catalog and keep the new music, the independent music off. Its a big if because music is still free out there. Forgetting that for a second. It could also be like the 40s when all the 3 major labels were signing were white pop artists and left the entire R&B field to independent labels. And we know what happened with that. Good stuff.
