I noticed that a major line in the political trend is to be either pro-government or pro-capitalism. Whenever Government gets too large and oversteps, the supporters of the free market protest and even things out. But then the free market gets too big and mega conglomerate corporations gain waaay too much global and political influence, suddenly we need government to regulate it. While it appears that the system works on some sort of cyclical redistribution of power when the balance gets out of whack, it also turns out that the whole thing is only an issue because humans are inherently... Douch-bags. The constitution was written for a moral society, and in this age of moral-relativism, it makes perfect sense that society should deteriorate so abruptly. Legislation will never bring about a moral society, however a moral society CAN bring about a just free-market and governmental system.
