I noticed that on youtube when you see an old guy sending people - TopicsExpress

I noticed that on youtube when you see an old guy sending people flying without appearing to do very much...the comments seemed to fall into two categories...which basically boiled down to: Its fake. or Its chi. I decided to make a video with an explanation that says, Its good physics with a somewhat or very compliant partner. Basically, the master grounds and enters just as the other person commits and the pusher then pushes himself away and combined with the pushers push, it looks like magic. I wasnt trying to say this is the only thing possible in pushing hands or this is the way you should always do it or anything like that. I wasnt even ruling out the possibility of some non-physical force, just saying that this is what I see when I see people doing this sort of thing. I had no idea this video would be my most watched Tai-Chi video or that it would bring out so many comments that are clearly on the other side of the great Woo-Woo Wall Of China from me. I got one just yesterday that directed me to a channel with a lot of videos by someone named Adam Mizner?...I think its his channel...didnt stay to figure that out. What I saw was a big strong guy with very good physics and some semi-compliant partners...nothing that violated everyday Newtonian physics. As I see it, Tai-Chi helps me use the laws of physics, not violate them. FYI: I like martial training games but I dont train or teach TCC for combat. I train and teach for everyday life. Thats the arena where I pressure test my balance. Self-defense can be against an opponent, but also against gravity, time, distracted texters, and many other very sneaky opponents. ;~) So Im talking about training games here, not street-fighting. https://youtube/watch?v=JTrXxyboUzc
