I now truly believe the old saying no good deed goes unpunished, I - TopicsExpress

I now truly believe the old saying no good deed goes unpunished, I am part of a caregiver program and , I joined because I wanted to talk to other grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. I get texts every now and then from my rep saying things like free meal at such n such church or where she will be having a support meeting. There was a free meal tonight at a church which I wasnt going to attend because I have food and thought let someone who is hungry have it. I called my rep Melissa Carson in the group, to ask her if any of the other families in the program could use some of food, hygiene products etc that I have accumulated over the year couponing and when she answered I told her who I was and she said are you coming? I said umm no im not going to be able to make it, she then said are you coming tomorrow ( a support group ) I said yes I am, she then immediately cut me off with ok hanging up bye....wtf? I didnt even get to ask her about all the stuff I have!! She just hung up on me! I realize you are busy, Im sure you have lots going on but I think you could have given me 2 minutes of your precious time and attention. Look, I dont NEED to be in your group, I dont NEED anything you have and refuse to be talked to like that! I had lotssssss of stuff to give away and all I wanted to know is should I bring it all to the group or did you want to decide who and how much they get...I joined this group for support, not financial support or otherwise but for geniune moral support and from what I see thats a joke. So, as of now you may officially take this as my end to any association with your group Melissa.
